The “CULTURE BOX 1.0” was organized by the International service avenue of Rotaract Club of Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was a cultural exchange program where we exchanged a box full of cultural surprises and established a platform for further integration between clubs and countries.
This was done in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Oxford, United Kingdom embracing the “Rotary Connects the World” theme to improve the friendship between the Rotaract district 3220 and 1090. Cultural boxes were exchanged via mail, both of them were opened at the same time and same day while connecting through a video call on 4th of March 2020. Rotaractors of both clubs participated and engaged and enjoyed the thrilling moment of sharing the surprises in the box.
It was a different experience and we had a chance to share each other’s cultures in real time. We hope the bond we established through this will benefit all our members in years to come.
