‘’The National Clean-Up Day’’ programme was organized by the rotractors of Faculty of medicine, University of Colombo as a community service. The programme took up the initiative for a garbage free world by taking part in the post-independence day clean-up programme in collaboration with garbage free Sri Lanka. The clean-up programme was held on 04th of April 2019 at the Galle face ground.
How we planned under an initial discussion took place at our faculty common room with our very own rotractors regarding the project. Permission was taken by the OIC of the Fort police station to carry out our project in the Independence day.
